Custom Forms Processing

Custom Form Processing — Let AuctionRPM Fill Out the Paperwork

Selling an item at auction sometimes involves a lot more than simply creating an invoice. Depending on the type of merchandise being sold, your auction company may need to complete additional forms, agreements, bills of sale, or other specialized paperwork.

An auto auction is a perfect example. When a vehicle is sold, your state’s Department of Motor Vehicles may require a specific bill of sale and other state-specific forms to be completed. The information needed for those forms may already exist in AuctionRPM—so why should your staff have to type it all over again?

That’s where Custom Form Processing comes in.

AuctionRPM allows you to design custom forms for the paperwork your particular auction business needs. You can then tell AuctionRPM where information should appear on those forms and have the system automatically “fill in the blanks” using data it already knows.

That might include the buyer’s name and information, consignor information, description of the item sold, auction information, sale information, or other data maintained within AuctionRPM.

And this feature can become even more powerful through automation.

For example, a particular form can be associated with a specific category of merchandise. AuctionRPM can then be configured so that when an invoice containing that type of item is produced, the appropriate custom form can automatically print along with it.

Imagine selling a vehicle and having AuctionRPM recognize what was sold, retrieve the appropriate information, fill in the required bill of sale, and produce the paperwork as part of the invoicing process—without your staff having to re-enter information that’s already in the system.

And Custom Form Processing isn't limited to automobile auctions. It can be used anywhere your auction business has specialized paperwork that needs to be produced using information AuctionRPM already maintains.

Design the form. Tell AuctionRPM what goes where. Then let AuctionRPM handle the paperwork when it’s needed.

This is one of those features that demonstrates just how powerful automation can be when your auction software understands the way your business actually operates.
