Frequently Asked Questions

If I download the program, how long can I use it?

The trial period of AuctionRPM Pro lasts for 30 days. If a longer evaluation period is needed just contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

Is there anything turned off in the AuctionRPM trial version that I will get if I buy the software?

When you download the software, you will receive the entire program. All features will be there for you to use. The only difference between the trial download and the purchased program is that you will only be able to use the program for 30 days.

NOTE: During the evaluation period, the program will automatically use the company name "My Auction Company" and will also use a fictional address for the company. This company name and address will appear at the top of all printed material. Once the software is purchased, you will be allowed to enter your own company information.

How am I notified if there is a newer version of the software available?

The program is designed to optionally allow automatic Internet based updates. If an update is available, you will be advised of it's availability and you will be given the option of downloading the update when you start the program.

What different modules are available for AuctionRPM?

None. Why? Because we don't believe it is good business to nickel and dime our customers to death. When you buy AuctionRPM, you get the whole program - beginning to end.

Do you charge for updates?

No.

Can I run AuctionRPM on more than one computer?

Yes. Typically you will install the program on several computers, then link them together into a common AuctionRPM database. It is recommended that you consult a networking professional to set up the links between your computers. This usually only needs to be done once.

NOTE: For you to be able to SIMULTANEOUSLY use AuctionRPM on multiple computers, you must purchase a multiple user license.

What is the user configurable menu area on the main menu all about?

This advanced feature is an area where you can "park" options on the main menu that you use the most. Depending on your role in the auction company, there are usually some options in AuctionRPM that you will use more than others. This feature allows you to configure these buttons so that when you press them, you will go to an area in the program of your choice.

When you start AuctionRPM you are asked for your name. Later if you park any main menu options in that area, then the next time you log in you will have your personalized configuration set up for you automatically.

Will this software really be fast enough?

We here at Symmetric Software have spent a lot of time researching the needs of our customers. We have tested, re-tested and tested again in live environments and we are sure you will be satisfied. Why not download it for yourself and see if it works for you?
